"Pretty sure that was the idea when a friend of mine gave him to me."
Zeke lets out an 'awruff' in agreement, and Zack ushers Jamie over to the kitchen with the food. He doesn't have much of an appetite, honestly, but he'll still eat some of it.
"...thanks for coming. And bringing this."

"There's none who've been kinder to me since I came here," he admits honestly as he looks over at Zack, "especially in regards to Peter. I'd hate to repay that kindness with an empty hand."
He smiles then and holds up both of his hands.
"Especially as I've two of them now."
