I'm actually in Leathann at the moment. Riku found another keyblade user, so Aqua and I came down to meet her, and then I went off and did a job for Gilgamesh.

So there's four of you, then?

[ Keyblade wielders, that is.

As for the rest of it, the bit about doing a job for Gilgamesh gives him pause. ]

I'm sort of doing what he asked me to do, too.

[ Hrm. ]

What was the job?

Yep. Hard to believe.

[He won't mention the fact that Xion is Unseelie just now, but the question makes him hum.]

One of the villages down along the coast needed help. They're in a bit of bad shape, but I got their water supply back.

Huh.

[ He wonders if it was the same girl he met earlier this month. ]

[ A beat, then- ]

...I didn't know you agreed to do stuff for him.

Yeah.

[He pauses.]

Ah, it didn't come up so I didn't think it was important.

[ It is important. Immensely important, even though Zack himself is tied to the man now for the foreseeable future.

Of course, it doesn't help that Zack doesn't really know what to say here. He likes the man sometimes, when he's genuine and thoughtful, but for various reasons, he can't bring himself to trust him.

Zack sighs but doesn't say why. ]

It's fine.

Where are you guys staying while you're here?

[He has every reason to be wary of Gilgamesh, he knows, but he believes he's not being led astray this time. Terra knows there's a reason Gilgamesh was able to hold his own against Zack, even if he doesn't know the whole story.

The question makes him pause again.]

Uh...good question...

[ Zack doesn't have the same confidence that he isn't being led astray -- or if not astray, there's the niggling sense he's being used. His feelings regarding Gilgamesh and everything he is are complicated largely by past experiences, and as much as part of him wants to warn Terra about the madness he saw, he can't bring himself to explain the fullness of what really happened that day.

The issue of housing, at least, gives him a reason to drop the subject and talk about something else. He hums quietly. ]

I could ask Flora if she has extra rooms. The house is pretty big.

[ A beat, then- ]

You want me to check with her and get back to you?

[He's about to say no, he doesn't want to bother her if it's too busy, and quietly he wonders if it's a good thing that Riku and Xion have gone on that trip to meet with the Black Shuck. He doesn't know how anyone would react to her; it might be okay with them that she was still one of them regardless of court, but...others might not be so kind.]

It's just me, so I'll be fine on my own if it's too much trouble for her.

Honestly? I think she really likes having a lot of people living with her so I don't think she'll mind at all.

Yeah, I actually ended up in the Diamond Coterie.

The two are allied, I think, so there shouldn't be any problems.

Even if they weren't there don't seem to be too many restrictions now. Still, it's good to know.

Even if there's no real conflict going on at the moment, I'm still separated from Sora and Xion by our courts. Leathann seems to be the best place so we'll be living there.

[He pauses.]

[ A beat, then- ]

I sort of settled things with Gilgamesh.

[Huh.

He's...actually not too surprised.]
