"Vincent Valentine," he answers. There is a slight pause; this is to see if Zack might recognize the name from more than just a network introduction about a month ago. Pretty much everyone else from their world has a general idea of who Vincent is. It's possible he was mentioned as a connection in passing.
"Warden and medical inventory supervisor," soon follows however. After another moment, Vincent shifts his stance and position so that he isn't immediately blocking either the supply or office door.
"Won't keep you. Just wanted to confirm." That's right Zack, the guy just wanted to perceive you. Although as he shifts again, appearing about to depart simply on that, he pauses.
"Right. From time to time I want a deep cleaning done for the infirmary's supply room. Who do you trust and will be comfortable with that type of task?"
Why not ask Zack? Why not ask Zack indeed. Clearly Zack and Richter will be the best choices for that sort of thing. But also those two seriously have their hands full.
"Preferably someone who didn't participate in that idiotic prank." Apathetic indifference, meat dry Corel desert winds.
The name does ring a bell, actually. There's a touch of recognition on his face, though it takes him a moment to place it.
"Vincent, huh? Good to put a face to a name."
He doesn't know a whole lot about the man; just that he's a friend of Cloud's.
As for the rest of it, well...Zack puffs out a soft, annoyed breath.
"Sorry to say, I don't know all the names of the people who participated in that. Just some of them since they didn't hide it. Richter or I could do it. Angeal could handle it too, probably. Can't really think of anyone else off the top of my head that I would trust not to make off with shit."
[ Zack is…not entirely sure how to take this. As sure as he is that he and Richter have been doing the right thing, constantly being told that you’re shitty does take a toll.
Especially when almost no one else is saying any different.
He puffs out a quiet breath. Then- ]
Thank you. That means…a lot, right now.
I have a few friends from home who’ve been supportive, but other than that, you’re only the second person to say so.
You've been a fast friend to me, different world or not. And when all seemed to be content to ignore Peter's antics, you took my troubles seriously and did something.
I'm no angel, but I call it as I see it, especially for those in an unenviable position as your own.
Well…I know what it’s like to not have people listen to you. A lot of people - Wardens included - didn’t listen to me when I said stuff about Sephiroth. And one of them even asked for my advice and then did the exact opposite of what I’d asked him to do.
[ So yeah. He Gets It. ]
And no, it’s not an easy position. Literally every single person who wants to tell us how to do this job seems to think it’s easy, and that we’re just idiots who can’t find our ways out of a wet paper bag.
They all think it’s so simple to do it all better than us - so, now they have their chance.
Well Vincent did announce himself to the wardens of the ship and has already met with a bit of friction over his investigations into Abel's recent murder. But of course that's probably not what he means here. Perhaps he is a little touched someone thought to bring him up.
Cloud? Aerith maybe? Angeal could have but... anyway.
"Don't think there's need for more than one person. The job's going to be daily routine and maybe once a month for a deeper cleaning."
Might seem a bit excessive to do a deep cleaning on a once a month schedule but it is medical.
"If you don't have any questions, I'll let you get back to work."
